Dr. Ruhy Tabesum was born in Lahore, Pakistan, in 1971 into a respected, education-focused family that believed strongly in discipline, hard work, and service to others. From a young age she stood out for her intelligence, confidence, and determination — teachers often described her as calm under pressure and exceptionally mature for her age.

In 1979, her family relocated to Manchester, United Kingdom. She adapted quickly, excelling academically and becoming known for her outstanding leadership abilities. By the time she graduated from secondary school, she had already decided she would become a surgeon.

Early Education — Manchester, UK

From 1979 to 1984, Dr. Tabesum attended St. Mary's Preparatory School in Manchester, consistently ranking among the top students in science and mathematics. Between 1984 and 1989 she studied at Manchester Girls' Academy, earning the National Science Excellence Award (1987), Top Student in Biology and Chemistry (1988), the Academic Leadership Medal (1989), and captained the debate and academic competition teams.

Oxford Medical Center — School of Medicine

In 1989, Dr. Tabesum was accepted into the prestigious Oxford Medical Center School of Medicine. She completed her medical degree with honors in 1995, becoming known for surgical precision and composure under pressure. Her deepest interest was reconstructive and plastic surgery — especially procedures helping trauma victims and burn patients regain confidence and function.

After graduating, Dr. Tabesum entered a highly respected surgical residency program connected to military medicine in the United Kingdom. Over six years she served in military hospitals treating soldiers, trauma patients, and emergency surgical cases. During her military residency years in the United Kingdom, Dr. Tabesum met Muhammad Younas, a distinguished cyber lawyer specializing in digital law and cybersecurity legal practice. The two married in 2000, forming a partnership built on shared values of education, discipline, and service.

Together, Dr. Tabesum and Muhammad Younas raised three children while balancing two demanding professional careers. Their family life remained a constant source of strength and grounding throughout Dr. Tabesum's demanding surgical career.
